How to use water-based aluminum-silver paste correctly (Take sunflower water-based Aluminum Paste as an example)

1) How to pre-disperse

 

Water-based aluminum-silver paste needs to be pre-dispersed before use. For pure water-based aluminum-silver paste, deionized water can be used directly, or alcohol ethers such as anti-white water are also possible (for specific conditions, please consult the aluminum-silver paste manufacturer in advance), press 1 :1 Soak in water-based silver paste for 5 minutes and stir at low speed until it is evenly dispersed. If you use tap water directly, you can, but you need to open the tap water for more than 24 hours in advance. The purpose is to let the residual chlorine in the tap water play out as much as possible, because the free chloride ions in the water are highly corrosive to the aluminum silver paste.

2) Matters needing attention

 

Adding the diluted aluminum-silver paste to the water-based base material needs to slowly add the aluminum-silver paste while stirring the base material. If necessary, add some water-based dispersants or other water-based additives to improve the effect. Note: Avoid using higher speeds during the dispersing and stirring process, so as not to produce more bubbles and high shear force to damage the surface coating of the aluminum pigment and affect the stability of the aluminum silver paste. The recommended speed is 300-800rpm.

 

3) Stability test

 

There is no uniform standard for the storage period of the finished water-based paint. Because the acid value of the water-based resin used by different manufacturers is different, and the oxidation strength of the additives in the formulation is also different, it will have different effects on the water-based aluminum silver paste. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a temperature resistance test on the finished paint samples in advance. General experience: It can be stable for one week without obvious flatulence, gelation and other undesirable phenomena when placed in a 50° constant temperature oven. The sample coating corresponding to the standard sample has no obvious extinction, and it can be stored at room temperature for half a year. Two weeks corresponds to a one-year storage period.
